Sobriety & Connections to Long term SSRI usage

Sobriety is often looked at as a reliance on something. But what makes it a reliance? Potentially the length of time we might use something for. Thus, the length of time we might be on an SSRI without coming off. There can be many reasons why we might be on SSRI long-term and the topic is a complex one but as they are not designed for lifetime usage I feel it is important to get the message out there that when we tip into long term or even life time usage from short term use this is when we might be looking at a journey to not only sobriety but reflecting on if the duration of SSRI usage is right for you personally or not and if the negatives out-weigh the benefits or not. If you have reached that point, it is so so important to talk to your medical professional about next steps and what a journey to sobriety after long term usage may look like for you personally and what your options are.
